HES TOO BIG!?!

Has anyone ever been told their baby is growing too quickly?! Im 24w 4d and the other day the doctor said the baby is measuring almost 2lbs and growing quick that i’m measuring more like 26weeks. they predict chubby little man to be 7-9lbs! I also have a hernia on my belly button, which i though was just scar tissue from my belly button ring rejecting, but apparently it’s a hernia. I also started mild braxton hicks. They estimated the baby coming in December instead of my due date being January 13th. They said if he doesn’t come naturally before new year’s eve that i’ll be induced on new year’s eve. Anyone else have a crazy pregnancy and hernia?

7 to 9 pounds is average size baby.

I’m surprised they are making predictions in baby’s birth weight. They have no way of knowing that at this point. They don’t even know when you’ll go into labor. With my son my ob predicted he was 7 lbs (just for fun) on one of my last appts with her before 40 weeks and he was 8 lbs 9 oz. They just can’t know that.

That sounds so crazy to me. Baby measuring bigger is totally normal, hernia happens to plenty of us too. I would not recommend to induce, baby will come when he is ready, be patient mama and don’t be scared. ❤️

This is my fourth and in my experience the weight they predict on the ultrasounds is always wrong. They virtually always predict bigger than what baby actually ends up being.

My sister got told she was likely to have a 10-12lb baby & he was only 8lb. I was told my first was going to nearly 8lb & she was only 6 1/2. It’s only a guesstimate.

The weight estimates are complete bs lol my cousin was due September 20th of 2016 and they estimated her daughter to be 6-7 pounds... she was induced September 19 and didn’t actually give birth until the next day September 20th on her actual due date! She ended up having to be cut because her daughter was bigger than expected and got stuck after her head came out. My little cousin ended up weighing 8 lbs 3 oz! So don’t worry too much!!

My belly is measuring 4 weeks ahead and my baby is also measuring ahead. That doesn’t mean the baby will come early, just mean baby is big

you guys are definitely helping calm my nerves. i just hope he’s healthy, but i don’t want a 10lbs buddha baby haha, i’m only being induced because i am high risk because of my blood pressure, along with him being so “big”.  they said he will be measuring full term by christmas! these doctors confuse me, i don’t care what they say as long as little man gets here safe and sound!

I was told it was possible for me to have my son 2 weeks before due date because I had my daughter 2 weeks before too but we will see ! I am gaining weight a little faster then my last pregnancy and it’s all belly!
