Are you okay eith having sex while on your period?

I hadn't seen my bf for almost two or three months due to him working in another city and he only gets a some time to visit and when he decided to come so did aunt flow and we wanted to do the nasty lol but I couldn't because of my period but he was totally okay with it .. he was like I love you so much and that blood can stop it from us doing it. I was shook 😮 like wait what are you serious your not disgusted by it and he was like I'm totally cool with us having sex while you're on ur period .. and thats when I noticed I had me a man not no little boy! But still we didn't do anything because I didn't want to cause a crime scene and I thought it would be disgusting afterwards lol
