OB switch this late

Alexis

So I am 36 weeks and so unhappy with where I am being seen. I was originally seen at our military hospital where I have had two other babies but in July I was switched to a civilian provider due to renovations in the clinic and there might not be room for me. In those months I have been told that I wasn't going to be tested for gestational diabetes or group B because I didn't have it before, had 1 to 2 hour wait times for the doctor during my appointment time and I hit my last straw with them on Tuesday. My husband was able to take off work to go to the doctor and after waiting for 35 minutes I asked how far behind they were. I was told they weren't behind and were not just taking me back yet so I left. Yesterday morning I called the military hospital to try to switch back and was told they were looking for a nurse to put in the transfer paperwork at around 8am. When I hadn't heard anything back and tried to call 4 times with no answer I drove 35 minutes and found out what was the hold up. It was around 2 by that time. I ended up leaving in tears because I was so upset. The front desk clerk said that the nurse wasn't there today and just forgot to call me back to let me know that. I was also told that the only person that could accept me was the head of obgyn at this point but I would find out within 72 hours. I was devastated that I might not be able to transfer back and cried all the way home for another 35 minutes. Then picked up my kids from school 10 minutes later to come back to the car and find a nail in my tire. I held it together long enough to go get my tire fixed, do homework with my kids and go to the gym where I took it out on the weights. I hope this gets fixed sooner than 72 hours.

UPDATE: The head nurse called me this afternoon and I was switch back to my original doctor and facility. I'm relieved!
