What would you do?

My 2 year said “I’m hungry.” I made him food, and he said he isn’t hungry after two bites and Then asked for a popsicle. I said no and to eat lunch or he can go to bed since it’s almost nap time. He didn’t want to eat so someone got a cup of milk and is talking to himself in bed now.  what would you do?

You did right. You dont get a popsicle if you didnt eat lunch. My niece pulled the same crap this weekend when she asked me to make her eggs, didnt eat the eggs, then wanted a toy at the store (which she was told from the beginning if she didnt eat breakfast she wasnt getting anything at the store). She cried about it and I had to explain to her that you dont get to not do what you're supposed to do and still get what you want. Of course she cried and said "but I want it". We just ignored her. Next time maybe she will eat breakfast. She is 4.
