Blood thinner after baby *somewhat TMI*

Sorry this is a double post but i have these questions and google always gives me mega anxiety and I feel like the doctors aren’t as good as actual experiences. So after I had my daughter I had a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in my lung) obviously very serious and not to be taken lightly, especially considering I was very young (15). Well I just recently had my son (2 weeks and 3 days postpartum) and they have me on blood thinners for the obvious reasons. My question though is I know that the blood thinners are slowing my healing process but for those who have had to be on them how long did it take you to heal? I’m still bleeding (no tears or stitches) and sometimes I won’t bleed all day then at 10:30 at night I’ll randomly start bleeding.. it’s confusing and I still have a while before my postpartum appointment. Just wondering how it went for other ladies. 😊
