Why am I spotting?

I stopped taking my birth control due to loosing insurance. I was taking it for period flow not preventing a pregnancy. (Have not had sex for months maybe 6) my period came and it was heavy as expected. Then a week two weeks later it came again. I didn’t think anything of it because I thought it was due to stopping the bc and my body was trying to regulate. Now this month I had me period again lasted 5 days maybe 6 and a two weeks later I’m bleeding again. It is not as heavy as it was two weeks ago. What’s wrong with me? Is this normal because I stopped taking birth control? Any recommendations on seeing a doctor with no health insurance?
