Cervidil induction has anyone had this?

I’m 39 weeks and 3 days I’ve had 2 membrane sweeps done lost my mucus plug on Saturday, my doctor wants me to have the cervidil induction tonight or tomorrow. Has anyone had this? How long until worked? Doctor said it could be up to 3 days! 😣

I did with my first. Went in 10/19 at 8 pm they took out the cervidil at 8am next morning. I had an hour or so off all monitors and medications. Was able to eat a light breakfast then started pitocin for the rest. She was born 10/21 at 1:27am. When I went in I want to say I was only 0.5cm dilated but 100% effaced or something like that. That was at 40 weeks exact.

I did 3 times the first was my longest. Cervidill over night and Pitocin the am the next day. Apx 10-12 hr until baby was born. About 2 hrs pushing.

Yeah cervidil is a bit of a lighter induction medicine. I’ve had this and it got things going though. But it took like 3 or 4 doses. Two inside and 2 taken orally I believe , it’s the tablets right? If so then I’m correct , but it got me through my labor. I didn’t need pitocin.

I had 2 doses of cervidil and it put me in active labor 4 hours later!  It worked quick!

I got cervidil with my first and walked up and down the halls of the hospital and never needed pitocin because things progressed on their own. 10.5 hours after I got the cervidil, she was born.

I was induced with my first. I went in at 8 pm and they put the cervidil in overnight. They took it out at 7 am and started pitocin for the rest.
I will say, the cervidil made my cervix super sensitive and I wanted to slap one nurse and her stupid bony fingers!
