No, it’s not reliable on it’s own, because precum can have sperm in it. Chances are less likely with precum/pulling out, but definitely still possible. So, if ur really not wanting to get pregnant, then u need to use an actual, proper method of birth control.

Its effectiveness is pretty low compared to the others because it relies 100% on the guy. If youre ok with pregnancy, pull out is okay. If you are expecting it to work with the same effectiveness as actual contraception, you are really just relying on luck. You have a right to dictate how much protection you want to use. Remember that your boyfriend isnt going to go through even half of what you would be going through if you do get pregnant. Your risks and his risks are vastly different. You decide what level of risk youre willing to accept.
