I went engagement ring shopping with my friend today and we talked to a jeweller who talked about the quality of rings made these days and said rings aren’t made to last anymore and that a lot of them break because of poor quality stones, gold or craftsmanship. 
Have your wedding or engagement rings broken? If so, can you please comment how they broke. Thank you.

My original engagement ring diamond fell out about a 3 months before our wedding we were devastated because we already had an idea of which bands to get. 
My husband had insurance so he takes it in to get fixed and when it was time for pick up they then let us know that they weren’t able to fix it and have ready in time before our wedding, but when we called they told it was fixed. It was a big mess. 
We put up of fight because when we dropped it off they assured us it will be ready. 
So they allowed us to pick a new engagement ring  and they custom made my wedding bands (for free). And it was ready for pick up in a couple of weeks. 
This was at Helzburg.
