Normal braxton hicks?

3rd baby girl, I’m 28+1 weeks and due 27th December, my baby’s head is right down and she weights 2.5lb so the dr says. 
I get braxton hicks all the time, I mean like 20+ times a day. Real bad tightenings that when I get then they stop me walking etc. Is this normal for them to be so uncomfortable and have so many or am I going into pre term labour soon?

I don’t think you should be having 20+ a day. I think more than 5 or something is a CSU’s Edie concern. But I’m not a doctor, so ask your doctor

I agree, drink more water! My OB said I should be drinking about a gallon a day. Said that drinking plenty of water will help prevent and lesson the pain of Braxton Hicks.

Make sure you aren’t dehydrated. I say this because I used to get them early in my first pregnancy because I didn’t drink enough water. That was over 10 yrs ago so I don’t remember exactly how far along I was so it could in fact be normal at your stage,not sure but tell your dr.

I can’t possibly drink anymore water than I do a day! I drink at least 1 litre every single day and also 500ml every night :)

My doctor said no more than 2 per hour and no more than 6 per day or go to labor and delivery
