CDs and clomid

Hi, who has done a Clomid IUI and did you call CD 1 spotting or waiting til full flow? I thought I started yesterday so got the Clomid to start tomorrow (CD3) but today I’m still spotting. Should I delay and call to push the IUI a couple days? I dont want to mess up our chances. Thanks!
