Should the bride pay for the bridesmaids dresses, hair, make up and Shoes?

It sure would be nice for the bridesmaid, but I think it’s unrealistic. As part of the wedding party, you should expect to pay for these things when you accept the position.

How could you ask someone to be a bridesmaid & then expect them to pay for the privilege? 
Bride & groom should budget for bridesmaids dresses, shoes, make up, hair. They should also pay for groomsmen suits & shoes. 
Your friends shouldn’t have to pay to be in your bridal party.

Surely the bride budgets for the bridesmaids she can afford... hair make up and dresses. If she cant afford it, then rather dont have them. I could never have expected my bridesmaids to pay for themselves. Hair make up and dress could go into R2000 range and thats pricey!

I did, but it’s not normal. Most of the time the bridesmaid pay for their own dresses, shoes, etc.
