Can you conceive the week before period?

Question

I recall planning to get my period on or around 10/1. (I was bummed thinking I was supposed to get it on vacation) I still don’t have it. I’m not on birth control. I had my last period at the end of August. 
While I was on vacation, my Husband came in me. We’re not really trying right now or atleast we weren’t 🤦🏼‍♀️ lol. Probably 9/30. I don’t know if my just tripping but I swear I felt a sharp mini cramp just the day before. (Could this be ovulation?)
I took a pregnancy test yesterday was negative. *now 6 days late
 
Long story short - is it possible to get pregnant the week your supposed to have a period. If so then how would that work with testing? Has it happened to any of you?

I’m in the same situation too. Af was supposed to arrive the 1st and still hasn’t come and there hasn’t been any signs of it coming either. Been taking tests and they’re negatives. This is the first time my cycle has ever done this. My doctor ordered me blood work, she said if af hasn’t come by next week to get the blood work done to do a hcg count. Fingers crossed we are. My dr said I can possibly be but just too early to detect on a test I think I O’d late this cycle.

It’s possible if you ovulate really late, but unlikely.

It's not likely but you can bet pregnant if you're having unprotected sex, sometimes people ovulate later then usual and just have an extra long cycle without knowing. Wait a couple of weeks and test if you still haven't gotten AF
