I don't think it really matters. When I drive with one of my parents my husband usually gets in the back. But i think that's just becuase my parents are older and would have a hard time getting in the back.
As long as everyone's riding what's the big deal?🤷🏻‍♀️

I haven’t cared where in the car I sat since middle school when I used to yell “shotgun” tbh 🤔 The mom’s not with us all the time, plus she’s older, we can have it

Well, if my mother in law is riding with us, out of respect, I tell her ride in front. He doesn't have to.

I usually tell her she can sit in the front but she tells me I can. We end up just  both sitting up front, meaning one of us will on the way to wherever we are going and the other will sit up front on the way back.
