In desperate need of advice

Selina

My husband and I came back from our trip last night (we left Saturday). When my 2 year old woke up today, it was like she was a different child. She wouldn’t stop crying and had a tantrum that lasted for quite some time. She cried until she threw up (which she easily does when she cries hard) because I wouldn’t give her what she wanted. In the past, she’s laid down on the floor in silent protest but will eventually get up and get over it.

She stayed with my parents in law from Sunday evening until yesterday. They do spoil her way more then my parents whom have been taking her of her since birth. They give into her and let her basically do what she wants. Normally my husband and I are there and we do our best to curb it. We’ve told his parents repeatedly that when she does have a tantrum, to let her be but my MIL will try to make her laugh, etc. Because we weren’t there this weekend, it seems that they let her have her way the entire time esp since she was a little bit sick (which is really just an excuse to let her get away with even more).

Like I said, she has never acted this way before and is usually a chill kid. My parents take care of her full time as my husband and I work and I feel like it’s extra work for them if she continues to behave this way.

I love my parents in law and I’m close to my MIL but I really need them to stop spoiling her like that. Both my SIL and her cousin have also called them out on it.
