Wedding party?

So i just VERY recently got engaged. I never wanted a big wedding. Recently as i was browsing ideas i seen pics from a 'no wedding party' wedding. I feel in love with the idea. I don't have to force any friends/family to buy or rent dresses..ect. seems a lot less stressful as well. But what's your thoughts?

We’re not having a wedding party. My parents didn’t either! I got to my teens and realised it was a thing when I was invited to be a bridesmaid 🤣 All our closest friends live hours away (we’re based regionally for work) so the time and effort it would take to get everyone together etc would be difficult and stressful. Plus we’re in our 30s and everyone has enough going on. Close friends and family have still offered full assistance if needed/ wanted. That said, we’re having a fairly simple countryside reception - we’re more focused on our marriage than the ‘wedding’ if you know what I mean. You do you 😊

I didn’t have a wedding party at all. Granted, I got married in a lil VFW so i didn’t walk down an aisle, have a bouquet, etc. all I had were my two nephews as my ring bearers, and each one held one of our rings until that time came. 
I wanted my wedding to be a nice simple little party. And it was! I wasn’t stressed about people getting dresses and makeup done etc. there wasn’t any drama about a maid of honor or bday man or any of that. It’s YOUR wedding. So do what makes YOU happy!

It depends on what your needs are. bridal parties (more the girls side) can be helpful in preparation and adding more hype to the big day, but they’re not absolutely necessary. You’ll certainly save a lot of money and drama if you don’t have one. 
Also ask your partner, they might have someone in mind who they’d like to have by their side on the day.

I don't plan to have a wedding party.
We live out in the boonies and the wedding is at our place. Most people who would be in my wedding party would have to travel out of state. I don't want anyone to feel pressured to travel to attend so I won't be asking anyone to take on the obligation of being in the wedding. Whoever can make it, will. We will have a simple ceremony  (I am not going to walk down the aisle) and a reception after primarily with food we cook ourselves.  It will be more like a family get together that just happens to have a quick wedding at the beginning..

I had a huge wedding party (7 bridesmaids), and loved it. My bridesmaids were there for me every step of the way, and truly made my life easier during a really stressful and exciting turning point in my life. However, if you are worried that the people you'd choose would gravitate towards creating drama or would be more focused on themselves than supporting you, don't feel pressured to have them at your side. There are plenty of ways to include people in your big day besides being in the wedding party: escorting family, doing a reading, sharing a musical talent, passing out bubbles or programs, the list goes on!

We didn't have any wedding party! It was so simple and there was zero drama (if that's a concern). 2 of my friends helped me get ready. The wedding officiant and my husband were at the front and my dad walked me down the aisle. Seriously the while wedding was under 15 minutes. I wouldn't want it any other way.
