When does anxiety medicine start working really well?

I was prescribed Buspirone and Propanolol. Both can help with anxiety. I have to take them daily. Buspirone is three times a day, and Propanolol is twice daily. I took them both today. I feel alittle better after taking them, but I still feel alittle anxious as well.

Propranolol helps each time you take it (so right away), but Buspar takes at least a few weeks.

It takes a few weeks! Give it ATLEAST two months before you make a decision about whether it’s effective or not- unless you’re having terrible side effects of course. Also from a severe anxiety sufferer, make sure that you are doing other things besides taking pills to try and help your anxiety/depression. Take walks, eat healthier, find support groups or a therapist to help you work through your problems. My anxiety was completely unbearable until I faced the music and started looking backwards and working through all of my triggers and phobias. Only then was i able to move forward with a clear head and no panic attacks! Good luck! ❤️
