I’ve had migraines since I was about 10. Been on and off of medication for them since then. I have also been on birth control since I was 15.

I’ve tried 2-3 different pills and the depo shot.

Each one I would have period like bleeding and spotting for months at a time, have worse acne, and eventually had to stop taking any birth control all together because it was making my migraines worse. The last pill I was on was also raising my blood pressure but the doctor never concluded if the BP issue was directly related to the hormones in the BC or if it was high because of the pain of the headaches.

Now that I’m BC free I occasionally get regular headaches but VERY rarely a full blown migraine, and BP is back to a normal healthy level. My periods are still very irregular.

Does anyone have any suggestions for somebody interested in birth control but suffers from these types of issues??
