Could i collect unemployment?

If i call out too many times for being sick & get fired could i collect?

You could try but you typically get that for unrightful termination. Getting fired for calling out often is pretty justified.

You could always try.  They might deny you depending on what your employer says to them.

Unemployment funds go through the employers worker’s insurance. Your employer will fight it if it’s not due to you calling out for an illness or something serious. If you are just calling out just to get fired it’s not strong enough reason for you to receive funds. You need a legitimate reason and evidence. If you are a 1099 employee it’s even harder to collect unemployment. Just letting you know because I witnessed it when someone was trying to do the same thing at the company I work for.

Do you have a legit reason for calling in a lot? 
Or do you call in for every sore throat, cough o runny nose? If so, probably not 
If you have an ongoing illness or something you may have a case? I would be up front with your employer if you have a health condition, that way they know you aren’t just calling in all the time with little reason

Um I don’t believe so, pretty sure you have to be somewhere for at least a year and hold a full time hour job. At least where I live, and if it’s rightful termination after writing you up so many times I don’t think so, but not sure.
