What do you miss most about being a kid?

I’ve been talking to a few different people lately and the responses to this question have been so nostalgic! So tell me, what do you miss about being a kid?

Not paying bills. Summer vacation. Making my Christmas list. Ridiculous amounts of gifts at Christmas and birthdays. Not paying bills. Playing on the jungle gym. Picking “one” thing at the store; “Just one!”. Whining because my dad slipped a trip to Home Depot into an outing. Oh! Not paying bills.

No responsibilities, playing outside with my friends all day. My grandma sending the dog out with a note on the collar that food is ready to come home for lunch or snack or dinner. The dog always used to find us. Going for ice cream a whole bunch of kids together every afternoon.climbing the cherry three and sitting there for hours, eating cherries. Each kid had their own spot on the tree which we called kingdoms. Winters - playing out in the snow. We we're always so many kids playing together. Almost all of us same age. It was awesome. Kids nowadays don't have that. It's sad. Especially those living in the cities. They have to have playdates. Or are confined to a playground. We used to go on "expeditions" just to explore places around the neighborhood. Or we used to play pranks on neighbors. Got in trouble more than once.

Living on 36 acres in the country, staying up until 2 a.m. to watch Boy Meets World on Disney Channel, exploring in the woods, not paying bills, not being responsible for the life or well-being of anyone but myself, not knowing what heartbreak or betrayal felt like, playing Nintendo with my sister and cousins.

The home I grew up in it was a farm and I have 3 sisters and a brother and we spent all our time outside together 😊 but I also miss the social side I had lots of friends and they were very important to me as a kid. As times gone on my friendship group has got smaller and smaller I still have some childhood friends but it's not the same 😥 I also miss my dolls! 😂 I loved being a kid ❤️

LITERALLY EVERYTHING. I became homeless at 15 hears old (not homeless anymore but was for 4 years) and I’d give anything to have my childhood back. Not paying bills, having an actual house, having friends, getting gifts, all of it. I lived with depression as a kid and I hate my childhood self for being depressed when my life was actually great and I just wish I had enjoyed while it was great 😭

No bills (duh!), home cooked meals, really enjoying Saturday’s, TGIF on ABC, playing outside, make believe, laughing at stupid stuff my sister said, not having to make tough decisions, being with my grandparents, a whole life ahead of me!
