I’m trying to find a place for my boyfriend and I. But he still hasn’t received his bond back from his previous place (lease ended 6 months ago). His housemate is disputing everything and slowing down the process. Will his delayed bond situation look bad on a rental application?

Also, he’s not able to move in at the same time as me either. So if I do find the perfect place and apply - should I leave him out of the initial application and say he’ll move in and sign the lease later? Is that even possible. I mean we can wait until after his current lease is up to move too. I’m just a bit of an opportunist and if great places come up I want to make a move on them.

Any advice on what’s the right course of action?
