Advice after ectopic?

So after my doctor appointment today I’m pretty sure baby #2 is not happening. I recently had an ectopic treated with methotrexate and kept my tube. Today my doctor tells me he sending me to a Fertility specialist for consultation and he thinks the Fertility specialist will pretty much only want to do IVF. IVF is out of the question with how expensive I’ve seen it is. I personally think a HSG should be done to check my tubes. So any advice?

I think you are right, an hsg should definitely be done. Not sure why your dr wouldn’t want to do one, but I can’t imagine the fertility dr would move forward with anything without doing that test. Don’t lose hope! You only need 1 tube! I have had ectopics and surgeries in both of my tubes and I fell pregnant the cycle after my hsg was done (there’s not really any scientific studies that prove the test helps conceive but I’m a believer)! My left tube is blocked with scar tissue but I got pregnant with my right. Definitely get an hsg so you can find out what’s going on down there ❤️ Best wishes

I know that it is 💜 It's definitely worth trying, though. I've had 3 losses and had started to think I would never have children but I'm 36 and now 3 months pregnant with my 2nd.

I'm scared to try anymore for fear of this happening again.

No, I've had them in both tubes.
