How many weeks were you when your doctor scheduled your first appointment?

My provider doesn't do "confirmation of pregnancy". Their reasoning is that the test they would give you in the office is exactly what you take at home.

So they scheduled my first appointment for 8 weeks. I feel like that is late, considering my morning sickness has started and I'm already super emotional. Both of these factors affect my job since I am a call center insurance agent. If I can't be on the phone, then I can't work. All I need from the dr is something that proves I am pregnant in order for work to make accommodations for me. They won't give a confirmation of pregnancy until my first ultrasound. Ugh.
