How do I ask my DR for the Harmony test?

I was wondering what I say to my dr to have the test done? My OB is a bit “uptight” when it comes to any of my requests and tends to deny a lot of things that I ask for. With my last pregnancy he wouldn’t prescribe me anything for my nausea, I threw up the entire pregnancy which caused me to stop working earlier than I had planned. Very rarely did he come through with any of my requests.

I’m not sure but I guess everyone suggest NIPT test and you can know the gender through that too. Just a suggestion!!!

I would have switched doctors by now & I don’t think you can request that test. I believe you only get it if you’re 35+ or have previous problems with pregnancy.

I got the Panorama electively. I just asked my doctor. If you feel like your doctor isn’t a good collaborative presence on your team, trade him for a doctor who is. Pregnancy is too hard to have to deal with walking on eggshells around someone who is supposed to be supporting you.

You can request anything you want , however most insurances will only pay for tests with a valid reason.  An example of this would be a woman with a child that has any genetic abnormalities, older age etc.  .. other then that women ask for them all the time to find out early gender and the insurance companies are like.."lol..nice try "
