Can sex in early pregnancy cause a miscarriage? Please explain your answer.

Personally, I would just be careful. I had a miscarriage the day after a transvaginal ultrasound and had sex the next morning too. I think my cervix may have opened from the ultrasound. I wont ever get an internal ultrasound again, and would recommend you not have sex after one of them either. When I was early into this pregnancy with my rainbow baby, I made sure I was usually on top as it felt more painful and I didn’t want him going too deep. Now at 29 weeks it doesn’t feel as painful/vulnerable as it did in the beginning.

No. Most OBs will tell you it’s perfectly fine unless you have other issues. And they will warn against it. Hubby and I do it all the time. I’m 11 weeks. And I’m telling you it never felt better. Lol. I’ve never heard of sex causing miscarriage. Starting labor later on yes. But not miscarriage.

No otherwise it would be well known. Me and my bf have sex most days and he is big and hits my cervix. Ive never bled im 12 weeks

I’m not sure if it causes miscarriage but I think it’s possible in some cases. Orgasm causes uterus contractions and bleed. I had perisac bleed in the first trimester so my doctor put me on bed rest from 4w to 11w and I wasn’t supposed to have sex till 12w

No.  Ive asked my doctors this question because ive had 4 miscarriages in the first trimester. Honestly with our rainbow baby who is going on 14 months old we bleed from 5 weeks all the way to 18 weeks. 2 separate reasons. I was on bed rest and pelvic rest til 30 weeks
