Hypertension during pregnancy ??

Has anyone else suffered with hypertension during pregnancy ? Were you put on medications ? &My Doctor has diagnosed me & I’m a little overwhelmed that I have to be on medication now . Was just wondering what were your side effects if so ?

I’m on meds. I take it twice a day and take a baby aspirin to help reduce the chances of preeclampsia again. I’ve been on BP meds for over 3 years and haven’t had any noticeable side effects. Was on a stronger one in between pregnancy’s and a different kind that’s safe for baby while pregnant.

I haven’t experienced it, but from a nurses perspective.. You def have to make this a priority and do EVERYTHING the doctor recommends. There’s a lot at stake if you let the HTN remain or get worse, but if you nip it in the bud now everything can continue smoothly. Work on your diet and nutrition, keeping your stress levels down often time that can make a big difference. Obviously if you can get your blood pressure in a normal range, you can stop the meds! Don’t lose hope, just make this your motivation to try harder. Nothing is too much for your babyyyy 🤗🤗🤗 hope this helps!
