Is it wrong to break up with my now boyfriend to have a fling with another guy for a few months? I have been into this guy for a few years now (only been dating my boyfriend about 3 months) but we’ve been talking about having a thing before he leaves next May. It’s very tempting but how do I say yes to a relationship I already know will end?

Is it ok- sure. You can break up with anyone and have casual sex with anyone you want.
What would be wrong would be not breaking up, or breaking up just for sex then expecting the person to get back together with you after the fling is over.  That is called using someone.

Flings are okay, but knowing your current relationship is going to end isn't. End it with your boyfriend before you start making advances at other guys. And do me a favor, DO NOT go back to him after you're done having your fun. It's not fair to him to be a back burner or last option. He deserves someone who loves him with certainty, and so do you.

The 2 flings I had sucked emotionally down the line even though I told myself they meant nothing. And they did. But I hated myself for them TBH because I feel like my body is worth better than that. I’d think about it. 
Do it if you want but like others are saying, don’t go back to your boyfriend after. If you cared about him enough to be with him you wouldn’t want to bang other dudes.

It’s ok to have flings and yes you can break up with anyone you wish to break up with but please be sure this fling is what you want. If this guy is leaving next month and you’re pretty positive that will be the end of you and him just be sure that you are prepared to live with the decision you made. As tempting as it may seem you don’t want to develop an attachment for a guy who isn’t going to be around for long. Sometimes that f*cks is up.
