When to get Rhogam shot??

I have A- blood and my husband has O+, which means our baby has positive blood and I will need a Rhogam shot. When do I need this and can it cause a miscarriage if I’m this early?

28wks routinely,but if you have any bleeding or spotting let your obgyn know, sometimes they give a smaller dosage earlier with onset of bleeding. Super routine to get it in third trimester. 
And really it's to protect future pregnancies because your body will learn to make antibodies.

I have it as well my doctor said at 28 weeks I’ll get the shot and when I deliver as well. She said if any spotting and bleeding to call. I spotted today very little called and they said to keep and eye on it and if it gets worse we’re I can fill a pad I need to go to the er. It was a drop that small and haven’t spotted since around 1pm. I’m only 4weeks 4days 
Just know your body and stay positive that’s what I’m doing. Well trying too. There’s a lot of research I’ve done on it and I called my ob about about 3 times just to make sure all my questions were answered.

I was told 23 weeks but I had spotting and they gave it to me yesterday at exactly 5weeks.

I just got my 1st shot at 7 and 1/2 weeks because I was spotting so my doctor wanted me to go ahead and get it.

The first needle is around 28 weeks and If the baby has your husbands blood type once born then you will also need one after the baby is born.
It’s just because of mismatched blood types and without the needle if yours and the baby’s blood mixed your antibodies would attack. I can’t remember the full explanation, you can read about it online !
I had it last pregnancy and it wasn’t a big deal, just get the needles and it’s all good :)

If I remember correctly from my first pregnancy it was much later on in the pregnancy. Definitely wasn't early.
