Can iron affect you from getting pregnant?

*My question is can having low iron and not having enough or none thin intake affect you getting pregnant. I went to get my hormones checked everything came back normal. So I'm just wounding can iron be the reason why I'm not convincing.

Every time before I got pregnant I went to the doctor they would say I'm not anemic but would say my iron is low and would give me iron pills. After having my son I haven't been on my iron pills for whatever reason. I was taking Geritol since Sept 17th-oct 15th or so. I noticed it wasn't helping me and I was extremely tried sluggish it wasn't working. Oct 15th I got back on the pills my doctor gave me before I got pregnant and during pregnancy. Ferrous Gluconate. I take 2 pills a day and at night I take prenatals.
