Is the graco 4ever 4 in 1 car seat good? And can I use it for newborns?

I’m looking for a good car seat that I can use for a long time.. so just curious

I have the graco 4ever car seat for my son. We got it when he outgrew his infant car seat. I personally would get an infant car seat to begin with! It is soooooo much easier because they sleep so much and it would be crazy trying to move them in and out of convertible car seat so much. The infant car seats are light enough to carry them around with you or just snap it into the stroller and go

I bought it for my son just before he turned one, and was going to buy one for the new baby however I think it will be more inconvenient. When baby is small, I like to keep them covered (especially during the winter months), and if baby is sleeping(which they do a lot of as newborns) I’d like to let them do so with waking them by taking them in and out. However I think it’s a great seat in general.

You can use it for a newborn but it’s not an infant seat so you cannot carry them around in it.
