mirena period

i got the mirena in july , since my periods have been as long as 2-3 weeks.

i had my period 2 weeks ago and now i’m spotting again but it’s brown and looks like old blood ? but i don’t understand how it’s old blood if i was on my period for 3 weeks last time ! could this mean my periods are now going to be stopping ??
