Did your husband have knowledge of things like paying bills, budgeting, housekeeping, laundry, cooking, and just general adult things when you first got married or lived together?

No. His family didn’t teach him anything; he has learned from me.

Absolutely. My husband was kicked out and homeless as a teenager when his mom up and left him and he worked his way up from literally nothing but what the outfit he was wearing and became a very responsible man who kicks ass at adulting. Hes the best adult I’ve ever met and he did it completely on his own

Yes he was prepared to be a grown man. He's not big on cooking and cleaning, but he can feed himself and doesn't live in filth and picks up after himself. Mostly he was taught by his father how to be handy and pay his bills. He can fix pretty much anything, knows how stuff works, doesn't let his bills go unpaid and keeps his life together. He's not perfect, but his parents (he lived with his dad and step mom) made sure they raised a man that could truly support himself. So thankful for that, I've seen some men that don't know how to get or keep a job, lets their utilities shut off because of bad choices, run their vehicles ragged and break them down, and make their wife/gf do all the nitty gritty work of maintaining their lives. Those kind are exhausting to deal with!

No, absolutely not. Only recently did I convince him to get a new bank account because he had a joint one with his mom... We have our own child now and I'm really struggling to get him to do the basics, like not leave dirty clothes and garbage all over the house.

My husband knew about budgets and bills and built his own credit without the help of his parents but lacked in cleaning and cooking. 
I was the opposite so we definitely complete each other. I handle the house work and cooking. He handles the bills and lets me know the budget for the week when buying groceries.

My ex husband was a mama’s boy and he didn’t know how to do anything! And that is why he’s my ex lol My 2nd husband was taught how to be a man and that’s why we stayed married, and would’ve been married still, if he didn’t pass away. RIP

Nope. His mom has only sons and spoils them all. They weren’t even aloud to touch the laundry machine. I taught him how to drive when we where in high school 😑 I also manage our money

Nah, but i was able to teach him how to do those things the way that I believed was proper and more efficient.
