Uncharted territory

I am hoping to find support and would love to hear of those in similar situations. My husband and I have been TTC for 8 months. I am 36 and he is 35. We got married this past July and really started to focus on starting our family. In September we finally went to a specialist after my OBGYN said it was time to seek answers. I did the normal tests.....everything looked good. Then my blood work came back and I found out yesterday that I have high FSH 12.3 and low AMH 1.35. I am going to be honest I really don’t know what this means. The doctor seems to think we need to get moving with ivf ASAP. And that is without my husband having any testing yet. We have no insurance coverage for fertility issues and the cost would cripple us. I am really torn. My doctor didn’t seem to optimistic about anything but ivf. It is just so overwhelming at this point. My mind is just spinning.

Any feedback or stories of similar situations would be greatly appreciated.
