My parents sometimes really frustrate me. My mum gets annoyed by the littlest things and then yells at me to a point where I am scared. And my dad is so ignorant of what is going on around him.

They’re also very over protective, for instance I went to go see a movie with my friend and my mum ‘had to’ stay there waiting for my friend with me like I’m unable to take care of myself or I am totally oblivious to the horrible world we live in. It pisses me of because they just can’t take me seriously and don’t understand that it’s not about age, it’s about maturity - I’m 16 by the way but I am much more mature than they are. They’re even over protective with boys who I know and trust. They just don’t understand that they need to let go a bit.

I’m just scared that I’m not going to have a close relationship with any of my family when I leave the house (I also have 3 brothers that I’m not really close with anyway because they’re so much older than me).
