Pregnancy pillow help? Back sleeper

Question

Any suggestions on pregnancy pillows for back sleepers? I have such a hard time sleeping on my sides because my shoulder that isn’t supported by a pillow tenses and cramps up. I have shoulder tension in general and have to use really firm pillows.

U shaped pillow helped me. It supports your front and back, that way if you do roll sort of onto your back you’re still propped up on your side on the pillow. But you don’t actually need to sleep on your side until much later on. Back sleeping should still be fine.

Currently snuggled up (on my back) in my snoogle. Loved it so much for my first pregnancy that I ordered another one as soon as I saw two pink lines for my second. I do agree that the slip cover is a pain in the ass but I didn’t know if a pillow with a zipper would be uncomfortable. It’s pretty firm and you can stack pillows underneath it to prop yourself up later in pregnancy for when laying flat on your back starts getting uncomfortable or the heartburn hits.

I used the snoogle for my first pregnancy and now this one. I love it ! Yes, the slip cover is the worst to get off so what I do is just wash the whole thing in a gentle wash. Works like a charm.  I love this thing so much I sleep like a baby now ! Before it ... not so much

I loved the snoogle with my first pregnancy but the slip cover is so hard to get off.
I just ordered the boppy pregnancy pillow since the cover has a zipper and is super easy to take off and wash.
Side note, my doctor and chiro have always said you can sleep on your back as long as you’re comfortable, yet around 18 weeks I could stand it anymore. Baby will make you move lol

You don’t have to switch to your side until later in pregnancy when the weight of your belly is significant. Continue to enjoy sleeping on your back until at least 20 or your 3rd trimester depending on your belly.
