Did having Gestational Diabetes change your due date?

I am currently expecting and have suffered from gestational diabetes for my 3rd, 4th & current  pregnancy. My children’s birthweight tended to be on the larger size. My first was 8 lbs & 2nd was 10. 
So when I was diagnosed with GD during my third pregnancy they decided to induce me at 39 weeks to ensure that I was able to give birth safely with minimal complications. My child was born weighing 9 lbs!
During my 4th pregnancy, I was unable to regulate my blood sugar levels through diet like I had with my previous pregnancy. I was eventually placed on insulin after the oral medications proved inadequate. I was scheduled to be induced at 39 weeks but my water broke & I ended up delivering at 38 weeks. My child was born weighing 7 lbs.
I expect my OB/GYN will schedule me to be induced a week early during this pregnancy too.  I understand the necessity for induction in my case but remember every woman’s pregnancy is different.

My due date was March 13th now I'll be induced March 6th. I'll probably go sooner though

I don’t know if this is the protocol in other countries but in Australia they usually induce GD women at 38 weeks, because going longer can potentially lead to complications (big baby etc)
