Are these cramps common?

I'm only about 5 weeks along and the last two days I have had cramps as if I were on my period.  Anyone else experiencing/experienced this?

Yea and even had sharp shooting ones occasionally freaked me out ! They finally stopped at 6 wks and I only get some very light ones occasionally now

I'm 5 weeks and was having them a few days ago. Everything I found says it's normal. Soo hard not to worry about every little thing!

Oh my God yes! I had horrible cramps and was convinced I was having a miscarriage. They went away at about 7 weeks or so but still get them on and off. It's normal and part of the baby growing. Good luck!!

Thank you! I hadn't heard anything about cramps during pregnancy before which I thought was weird if it's normal. I really appreciate the responses. It eased my worries for sure!
