Is my kid the only one not talking?😧

My son has never called me "mama" or his father "dada" he doesn’t point at things or try to use worlds. I know what he wants from his behavior and type of cries when he’s upset but he just doesn’t have any words yet to communicate. The only thing he gestures for is to be picked up. The doctor is aware of it and isn’t worried yet just wondering if any other 15 month olds are not talking

My daughter isn’t speaking.. just babbles a lot and has a few random words but she understands a lot. I mean even 2 to 3 step commands like where is the remote and show ur dad ur new shoes. So I am not worried. As long as the child understands and responds in his own way I wouldn’t worry too much

My daughter doesn’t say any discernible words yet. She will point or shake her head yes/no when we ask her questions and babbles constantly all day long. It stresses me out that she still won’t say mama or dada or even no but at her 15 month check up our pediatrician said it was still normal and to keep telling her words for things and to try to prompt her to say things. We will see in the next couple months before her 18 month appt what happens.

My son babbles all day but doesn’t actually say any words. He says “Mum Mum” and “Dada” he also says “mmmm” for milk or food. His doctor was on annual leave for his 15 month appointment so the doctor we saw wasn’t very good she didn’t ask us any questions and hardly examined him 🙄 guess I have to wait until his 18 month appointment to talk to his doctor about it. Seeing other people’s babies aren’t talking either does reassure me 😊

My son says mama and dada but not in context - he’ll just randomly say/yell them not directed at us.  Sometimes he’ll look at my husband when we ask ‘where’s dada?’ But I never even get a glance when we say ‘where’s mama’.  He does point though, and grunts or says ‘dat’ so we know what he wants.  The only thing he does say is ‘uh-oh’ when something falls 🤷🏼‍♀️ or when he’s about ready to drop something, lol.  He also isn’t walking yet.  We asked about both at our 15m appointment a few weeks ago and our Ped was not concerned.  He said he seems happy and healthy and he is still within the range of normal for both communication and mobility.  He described it to us as a bell curve - some babies do these things early, some late, but at this point it’s all normal.  It still causes me a lot of anxiety most days, that he’s falling behind, but deep down I know he’s getting there and learning new things every day.
