Are newborn cloth diapers needed or are one size cloth fine?

I'm going to be cloth diapering and I'm about to buy my stash, I'm just unsure if I should spend the extra and get newborn specific cloth diapers or if I should just buy the one size and use them on their smaller settings?

I bought my one size stash but I’m going to be purchasing one box of disposable newborns. I’m unsure if I want to add laundry on top of learning to be a new mommy for the first few weeks!

One size diapers will not fit your newborn. Regardless of what they say on the tag, newborn baby legs are just too skinny. You will be mad if you don't buy newborns lol. Or just use disposables. They go thru so many diapers as newborns. Plus newborn diapers are so expensive and harder to sell.

We used disposables for our first son till about 2weeks. With our last baby though, I wanted to cloth exclusively from birth so we invested in a newborn stash. I tend to have small babies, so we didn't have a problem buying newborns. They ended up lasting our little guy 3.5months before I finally packed the away

I definitely needed newborn ones for my son. He could fit into one size around 2-2.5 months but they're really bulky. If money is a concern, I would recommend Alva baby newborn pocket diapers- they are super cheap and worked really well for us!

If you want to use cloth from day one then I would suggest newborn diapers.
