Who has switched to toddler bed already?

Mine never tried to climb out of the bed. I’m going to keep her there as long as I can 😂 but curious what others are doing!

We switched our son to a toddler bed at 16 months he was climbing out of his crib and we were expecting another baby so figured may as well. He does awesome with it he loves his toddler bed! His first night in it he went straight to sleep!

I’m putting my daughter in her bed when she turns 2 since her brother will be taking her crib soon after

I switched my daughter a few days before her 1st birthday. But then again we did things early like switching from bottle to sippy at 6 months ect. Best to start a little earlier so they get the hang of it.

My son's been in a single since 17mths. That way we can get in with him if he needs us to.

Yeah. My son figured out how to climb out at 14 months. Moved him to a full size bed around 16 months. He’s doing well!

We plan to after Christmas! It’s an old antique Norwegian trundle bed so I have to figure out how to “toddler proof” it a bit and the he will switch. We need the crib for the next baby in April!

My son turns 2 on the 29th and he wasn't showing any sign that he was ready for us to take the side off the crib but he started to cry for 30min-1hour before going to bed and nothing changed so we decided to swap the crib side for a bed rail and now he Crystal for maybe 3 minutes and goes to bed, I guess he wanted the option. Plus his room is already Montessori style and baby proofed, definitely worth a try.

Mine has always been in bed with me. My husband works nights, so it's been nice. He may have a chance to get on days soon, so I'm thinking about moving my six week old and my 22 month old into their own room. I think I'm just going to skip the toddler bed in favor of a twin bed. He's used to sleeping on a normal bed anyway.

My son hasn’t ever tried to climb out and he still wakes up at night. He’ll be 2 right when our new baby is due. I’m considering getting a second crib because I’d like to keep him in his crib for another year, or whenever he physically outgrows it. Very handy to have the containment unit lol I don’t really see the rush/point to moving him into a bigger bed other than I can lay down with him. But that Pandora’s box kind of scares me too lol I think he is gonna liiiiike that. Lol!

We moved her to her big girl room around 16 months in preparation for her baby sisters arrival in August. At that time we got a crib from my sister and put that in her room along with her toddler bed (daybed from ikea). She always liked to play in the big girl bed but still wanted to sleep in her crib up until about a month ago. She tried climbing out one night and hubby found her with her leg stuck up on the rail and she said she wanted to sleep in her big girl bed... and that’s where she has been since and she’s doing great with it!! Always been a good sleeper but she moves around a lot so we were worried but hasn’t been a problem.
