Okay, so I come to work today expecting it to be slow. Of course it has been. This girl comes in and wants a haircut. So I cut her hair. And my coworker steps in and we’re all talking. About an olaplex treatment. (Deep conditioning) and talks the girl into getting a color. So as I am mixing the color up. The client asks my coworker if she wants to do it instead. Because she knows what she’s talking about and apparently I don’t ? Put her color on. Takes me like 20 mins. Set the timer for 35-40 mins. About 20 mins in. She’s asking my coworker to have me rinse it out....not because it’s burning....not because it’s itchy. Because she’s cold. And stated that it was on for 40 mins. (People please understand. Processing time don’t start until it’s all on your hair. , yes that first section may have been on for 40 mins already but it’s not going to over process or damage your hair) anyways, as I am blow drying. We’re talking. And she brings up the conversation that she’s a waitress. And we get to talking about tips. And of course she’s talking about how she loves to make big tips. It just makes her day. So I’m thinking alright I’m gonna get a decent tip. I go to check her out. When she signed the receipt and handed it back to me. She had no tip written on the receipt. And didn’t even leave a cash tip. People we are not asking you to give us all your money. But if you are going to come into a hair salon. Talk about how you love making tips. Then you should understand we live off our tips. Our paychecks just pay bills and our tips get us through each day. So don’t come in and ask for a color and expect something cheap and also not tip. Even if it’s $5. Give us something. We took our time to color your hair. Took a loss on multiple haircuts to take care of your needs. And if you ask us to wash your hair out and it’s 20 mins early don’t expect to get it redone for free. Not by me. You will pay full price again. And don’t ever talk to another stylist asking them to do it instead behind your stylists back. If you don’t want that stylist to do it. SPEAK UP!!! We can’t read your mind. Tell me if you don’t want me to do it !
