Am I the only one who didn’t take their kid trick or treating?

So seeing everyone’s Facebook tonight is making me feel bad for not taking my 2 year old son trick or treating. We had every intention of going tonight but I’ve been sick and my son is getting his back molars so last night was rough. My hubby doesn’t get home from work until 6 and my son has a 7 pm bath time and in bed by 7:30 due to our long commute to work/Daycare in the morning. We are bringing him to a Halloween trunk or treat on Saturday (got delayed due to some bad weather last weekend) so I guess i can redeem myself then? Lol

Thanks ladies all great points! I did let him have a special treat tonight so it’s fine. I think as moms we are too hard on ourselves sometimes and social media makes everything feel like a competition. Hate that!

We just went to a couple of neighbors' houses. My son just walked up inside their houses, then he tried to pass his candy on to other kids walking up. We still don't eat junk food, so he had no idea what was going on. You didn't miss anything.

It’s ok! But I’ve really been trying to break our schedule and routine for special occasions because I felt like we were missing out on stuff because of our schedule some times. We aren’t super into Halloween but we took him and he had a lot of fun running down the street and seeing costumes. I’ve been feeling super guilty about no hayride because I feel like he would of had so much fun.

I did not bc my son has food allergies and is too young to understand not to eat most of it. We still had.fun at home and.had safe treats.

We went to our neighbor's house. He got his treat and then yelled "go home" and ran back to our house. We have long drive ways so our neighbors was the only one we were going to go to anyway.

It was way to cold to take my 2 year old so we skipped out this year. No amount of free candy is worth my daughter getting sick especially with her respiratory issues
