Christmas baby question...

So I'm due to have my first born on December 8th which is fairly close to Christmas. Now we have always celebrated Christmas but would you wrap Christmas presents for your child and put them under the tree if the baby will only be a couple weeks old? And if so what types of gifts would you buy a child that is only a couple weeks old? I know it's a dumb question but I'm genuinely at a loss if it's something we should even do with our son being so young and most likely sleeping the whole time.
