need help !!!

alright so I was with my bf for 2 years. we recently broke up because he needs to focus on himself and what he wants bc he’s too immature do be in a relationship ( that’s what he says ) but why tell me that just now ? he always tends to communicate with his exes and I don’t like it . he cheated on me once but he’s too friendly . Right now we are taking a break so he can figure out what he wants . He says he wants to be with me but same time wants time for himself so idk what to do I’m so confused I jsut need help because I don’t want to be wasting my time just for him to make up an answer ):
