Ultrasound? What to expect?

I have a ultrasound Thursday. What can I expect? Only 4-5 weeks, will I get a heartbeat at least?

This is my ultrasound photo from 5weeks 2 days. You’ll likely see a gestational sac (the black circle) and you *might* see a yolk sac (small grey bit at top of the gestational sac) but might not yet. It’ll be too early for a heartbeat. Congratulations and just enjoy it 😊 it’s perfectly normal not to see too much yet as it’s SO tiny in there 💙

Im a little over 4 weeks and doctor offered me an early ultrasound yesterday and we couldn’t see a gestational sac yet, which is not uncommon this early on. We did see a thick uterine lining which was a positive sign. You might expect to see a heartbeat somewhere around the 6 week mark.
