I had a Pap smear and the gynecologist said she saw lesions on my cervix (I have hpv) and Scheduled a colposcopy. Well I just found out I’m pregnant and I was nervous about getting a biopsy on my cervix causing a miscarriage (my friend said she had one and it caused cramping and bleeding) so I called and canceled it,

Well my gynecologist just called and said that she was scared about letting me go more then a month without having it done and that she could visually see they are high grade lesions and she wants me to get it done

I told her I’m scared about miscarriage and she said there is only a risk when a Cone Biopsy is done which she will not be doing

Does anybody have experience with this? I need advice or experience from other woman please,

I’m only 4 weeks and 3 days , is this safe? Even if she finds cancer or pre cancer cells what can we do about it?

Has anybody gotten a biopsy while pregnant?
