Ttc, pregnancy symptoms and periods starting

We are planning our second, my periods were late. I had a strong feeling that I was already pregnant with many symptoms similar to how they were during my first. My home test cam negative this am, so I went for blood work. Right after blood work was done, my periods started. I am disappointed but a part of me trusts that I am likely pregnant. Still waiting for blood results. Can we still be pregnant even if periods arrive a bit late in first month? God forbid, I am not seeing clots. Seeking baby dust..thank you!
