Not pregnancy related (about my daughter)

So my daughter is 6 years old and she’s always getting sick most likely because she’s in school and many kids get sick, anyway she has a cold right now and she literally will not stop coughing she was sick about 3 weeks ago and also had cough and wheezing. I’m concerned that she might have asthma but her doctor says that she doesn’t because she doesn’t have the wheezing right now. My daughter literally will not stop coughing it’s making me paranoid and the cough gets much worse at night. Anyone else have small children with asthma?
