My boyfriend is proposing this weekend and I'm kind of freaking out.

We have been together 2 years we live together and such.

He has never formally met my family. He has met my brothers and shook hands and maybe they said a couple of words, and he and my mom have met plenty of times and she loves him.

Note my family lives almost 2 hours away, we all have busy lives too. But my family never really makes the effort to make time to come up to see me also and I havent had a car to go see them.

I'm just super nervous about getting engaged and having to tell them spite meeting them.

This is also something i dont want to hide from them.

My boyfriend also feels weird about asking permission from my dad to marry me seeing as though they have never met. My dad never makes such an effort to try and plan anything with us also he just had a baby and works 2 jobs. So everything is just very crazy.

What should I do?
