I was curious.. have any of you ever gotten a negative with your period being late, only to get a positive later on?

I’m spot on regular with my periods, maybe one day off sometimes. I’m going on day 4 with a missed period. I took a test on day 2 of a late period, but I got negative. Is it possible I’m actually pregnant and I will eventually get a positive? I had taken one of those early pregnancy tests, so I was disappointed to get a negative even with a missed period
